the water cycle: the hydrosphere
The water cycle is the path that water molecules take as they transfer through the biosphere. The main stages of the cycle are...
Evaporation: the transformation of liquid water to water vapor. Condensation: Water vapor condenses in the atmosphere. Precipitation: Water comes back down to the Earth's surface in the form of rain, snow, sleet, or hail. Collection: Water collects in the different "sinks" of the Earth's surface such as the ocean, rivers, lakes, streams, snow caps and groundwater/aquifers. Other processes include: Transpiration: Water evaporates from the leaves of plants. Sublimation: Ice evaporates directly into vapor. |
The Carbon Cycle: CO2 and You!
Carbon is an element that is found in all living things.

The Nitrogen Cycle: yay for bacteria!
